Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
I'm currently helping a friend with a layout -- she's apping for a game on IJ for the first time and she'd like to have a layout where you can have a) a customized header at the top and b) still see the icon for each entry on the actual journal page.

Any hints, tricks, layouts I should look at making? She uses the 3-column layout on LJ for her journals, to help give you an idea of what she uses there.

Thanks in advance!

FOR EXAMPLE: If I could just change the header on this layout to have this header that's the kind of thing she's going for!

Quite Lickable would be the only one that I can think of to get a customized header + icons on every entry. If you take a look at [info]theheartyearns you can kind of see how it looks/can be set up-- it's not my favorite layout for personal journals, but it isn't terrible.

Does it give a icon on every entry even if it's not a community?

Yes'm! You just need to click "No" on the first option that says "Hide userpics on recent entry and day pages" on the customization page. :)

I use bloggish for most of my layouts (see [info]cho_chang). It's customized, but I'd be happy to send you the coding. But it might be easier to go with something less complicated. :)

I am going to thread-interrupt for a second just to say that that layout is way super pretty :D

That layout is gorgeous, indeed! I'll wait and see if someone else has a-not-so-complicated solution, but if not I'd love to see what I could do with the coding :)

...and thanks XD Hee, just let me know. It's not super hard (or else I wouldn't have been able to do it!), but I remember it took awhile. Quite lickable does look like a much easier solution, though.

If you take a look at any of my current characters' journals, they all use bloggish and I can direct you to where I found the coding, which includes some for a header but which I take out. I use bloggish for all of mine because it's fairly clear in where things go and I see all icons for every entry.
